Heart stops, at that pretty dress in the window!!

Since I started working on art exam, all my drawing have been fashion oriented.
This reminds me, of the time when you are window shopping, and suddenly a pretty dress calls out to you and you just cant take your eyes off.
I love sequin fabrics and dresses, m currently working on one ( will show the results soon)
This picture also captures my love for beautiful perfume bottles :)

Sharing the joy!!

Lately I have been making a lot of new ones, different styles and different colours.
Some of them have even become my favourite pieces, I love this necklace, the colour, the design and it goes amazingly well with formal outfits too.
Stacking bracelets have also been a must, but its more fun to jazz that arm candy with cuffs. If you liked the collection...head to RosabelleTreasures.

Etsy Feature: TinyLuck

All it takes is one look at your favourite doll to take you back to your childhood. Today I would like to share the beautiful creations of Arrienne from her shop TinyLuck. They remind me so much of Thumbelina :)

The lovely conversation with Arrienne....

- What is your favourite part of making such creative decoration with wool and felt?

A:
It is so rewarding to make something with your hands. You can touch it, show it to someone and you can enjoy it.... just looking at it. Creating is rewarding.
For me the most exciting part is creating a little man or woman. Only after you have finished the clothes, hairs and everything of a little puppet you colour the cheeks and mouth and suddenly it becomes alive... Every Tiny little puppet is different and unique.. This excites me everytime!

- Have you always wanted to do that?

A: I have a masters degree in economic geography. This is not what I planned, no.. haha.. but then again... can life be planned? This is what I enjoy doing so much right now!

- Which is your personal favourite design?

A: I am very proud how Nils Holgersson turned out. He was in my head and wanted to come out so bad. It was great creating that. Because I love creating I made a DIY description of Nils Holgersson for other people to try and create for themselves as well.

- How does your normal working day looks like?

A: I do not have working days. Every day is exciting and different. My two boys are almost 5 and 6 and I my day is like any stay-at-home mom with a great hobby.

- What is your most memorable moment, when opening a shop on Etsy?

A: My first sale! OMG... It was a TinySanta. I'll never forget it!

Summer Goddess: GET THE LOOK

pinterest
Love this simple yet so beautiful look.
All you need is a blush in a lovely peach shade, I swear by this one, these days. It is well pigmented and has subtle shimmer, which is just about perfect for this look.

After the cheeks, you draw the attention to the eyes, with some intense eyeliner. Finishing the look with nude lips :)

Love is all you need!

I just simply love this one. I am submitting it for Beyondgreychallenges
For this one, I kept the layering minimal.
The patterned paper is handmade by me, that is the part of this card, which took the longest.

I hand-drew all the elements of the card separately, and painted with watercolours.
Hope you liked :)

DIY : Glitter Dish

I love presenting jewellery around my place. Its a nice way to add a touch of bling, or just keep your beloved pieces very handy.

What you will need
- a glass dish
- fevicol ( or any glue)
- glitter
- glue and gloss ( any varnish would do too)
- a brush

- Cover the whole dish with glue.
- Cover your work area with newspaper ( it would be less messy that way!) and sprinkle glitter over the dish. Once its dry you can cover any areas that were left out.
- Let the dish dry completely.
- Once its dry, cover it with varnish. ( or in my case glue and gloss)

And you are all set!!

What is your favourite piece of decor in your house? ...Well for me its the paintings, beautiful, soothing and calm.

Today, we get to chat with the super talented Yao from YaoChengDesign

The way she makes each painting, the colours she chooses...makes each one of them truly special!!

- What is your favourite part of making beautiful paintings?

Y: My favorite part of painting is knowing that I'm creating something original. It's both a thrill and scary feeling, but I know that through the process of putting my brush to paper, something interesting and new will come of it. I also love being lost in the world that I'm creating, I love watching the colors mix into each other and see the shapes interact with one another.

- Have you always wanted to do that?

Y: Actually, yes, I have always known that being creative was something that I was meant to do. I've been drawing and painting since I can remember, and I have loved it with the same passion ever since! I am the happiest when I'm painting and being creative, there's something about communicating my ideas through visual imagery that really speaks to me.

- Which is your personal favourite design?

Y: I don't have a personal favorite of all of my work, but rather I have favorites that change based on what I'm painting. So right now, I have the triangles hanging in our bedroom and I love how simple it is in both shape and color but still visually interesting. That's probably one of my favorites right now! I also love my landscape paintings, especially the rolling hills one.I love the movement in that one and it's one of the few paintings where it is exactly how I envisioned it in my head!

- How does your normal working day looks like?

Y:My normal work day is always different, which is one of the reasons I love working for myself full time! Because I run my business by myself, I wear a variety of different hats, so my days are never routined. I am, however, working on spending a day or two more per week painting! But my days mostly start out with filling orders and staying up to speed with my emails. Other than that, I will be working on a few different projects at the same time!

- What is your most memorable moment, when opening a shop on Etsy?
Y : My most memorable moment...I think probably when I received my first order that wasn't a family member or a friend! That's when I realized that there are people that my work speak to and who like the work that I do.

In lovely conversation with Hailey!!

- What is your favourite part of designing beautiful accessories?

H: My favourite part is finding the fabric and then designing the roses of various sizes into something special.

- Have you always wanted to do that?

H: I've always liked the thought of doing something creative on my own but never knew in what form it would take.

- Which is your personal favourite design?

H: I love making the headbands and little coin purses mostly. Custom orders are also fun.

- How does your normal working day looks like?

H: I am a stay at home mom so my working day revolves around my son and his schedule. Typically I get a few hours in at night and if I am lucky, an hour or so during the day.

- What is your most memorable moment, when opening a shop on Etsy?

H: Getting your first sale on Etsy is a pretty memorable moment. The idea that someone likes what you made enough to pay you for it is really amazing.

Etsy Feature: Pita Pata DiVa

Today I bring you the very sweet Penelope form "Pita Pata DiVa"
They are bringing you the prettiest vintage you can imagine. Trust me....I want every piece in my wardrobe!!

Here is a feature, to share the love and passion that goes into the shop!

- What is your favourite part of designing beautiful vintage bikinis?

P: My favourite part of designing vintage bikinis is choosing the fabric combinations of stripes, spots, florals or colour blocks. I have recently released a new range of 100% reversible and 100% adjustable cotton vintage inspired cotton bikinis!
I love choosing co-ordinating linings and trims and making new features such as removable straps and adjustable centre pieces.

- Have you always wanted to do that?

P:I have always looked at designs and pretty fabrics of bikinis in the stores and wished that they came in prettier floral fabrics and had more features like being reversible and adjustable and removable straps. My items also come with an extra adjustable centre piece. I'm looking into adding vintage swimming corsets to my collection soon.

- Which is your personal favourite design?

P: Every design I make, I think to myself, 'This is my new favourite '. I really can't decide which is my favourite. I love them all !

- How does your normal working day looks like?

P: My normal working day starts at 0400 am. I check my emails, make a coffee and start assembling the orders I intend to dispatch on that day ... I finish my day around 8.30pm.

- What is your most memorable moment, when opening a shop on Etsy?
P: My most memorable moment was when I was making items for kids and a lovely lady said to me, ''I love this so much, can't you make them for ladies too? '' I made a collection and got my first sale. I was sooo excited for weeks. I still cannot not stop planning for my next new collection!

Please do check out the shop. I bet you are gonna fall in love :)
